Raipur, 07 February 2022. In a bid to provide relief to the people of the state, Chhattisgarh Government has issued an order to give a discount of up to 40 per cent in the rates of the market value of the land. The people of the state will be able to take advantage of this special exemption on the purchase of land till March 31, 2022. Earlier, a discount of 30 percent was being given in the guideline value.
It is noteworthy that in the cabinet meeting held on February 1 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, it was decided to revise the rate of market value guideline from 30 per cent to 40 per cent for the remaining period of the current financial year 2021-22. According to the intention of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, an order was duly issued today by the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, in compliance with this decision of the cabinet to give 40 per cent relaxation in the guideline value. According to the order issued, a discount of 40 per cent instead of 30 per cent has been given on the rates of market value guideline for the remaining period of the financial year 2021-22 for properties falling under municipal corporations and their town and country planning area.
