Chhattisgarh to craft roadmap for Bastar development

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will discuss with officials on 15th and 16th April

With the goal of making the country Maoist-free by March 2026, the state government is preparing a road map for the integrated development of the entire Bastar.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has taken the command and will hold a detailed discussion in this regard with the Secretary of the departments concerned, Commissioner, Collector and stakeholders working in the field. A high-level meeting will be held in Jagdalpur in this regard on April 15 and April 16.

According to officials, Sai will discuss with the officers posted in Bastar and various stakeholders working in that area on four subjects related to agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries and related subjects, industrialization and employment, promotion of tourism, skill development, providing employment to the youth in Bastar and other areas on April 15 in Jagdalpur.

He will also review various schemes with the Collector, Superintendent of Police, Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat and Forest Division officials of Bastar Division on April 16.

Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Subodh Kumar Singh has issued a letter to the Secretary of Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, Tourism, Skill Development Department and the Commissioner and Collectors of Bastar Division giving instructions for necessary preparations. He said that a roadmap for the development of all the districts of Bastar has to be made to increase the pace of development in Maoist-affected areas, especially in Bastar Division.

For this, the previously prepared document Vision @2047 “Nava Anjor” should also be reviewed and the points mentioned in it should be incorporated. Singh said that the department secretary will be the coordinator of the meetings and presentations. About an hour has been allocated for the discussion on each topic.
