BMC Commissioner Prakash Sarve Reviews Development Works, Directs Swift Action on Pending Cases



Bilaspur, June 10, 2026.
The Municipal Corporation Bilaspur Commissioner, Prakash Kumar Sarve, chaired a high-level departmental review meeting on Wednesday at the Drishti Sabha Hall. During the meeting, he took a detailed assessment of various public welfare and development works being carried out by the corporation. He issued clear instructions to ensure time-bound and quality execution of key works including Su-Shasan Tihar 2026, pre-monsoon preparations, drinking water supply, revenue recovery, and sanitation drives.

Focus on Swift Disposal of Su-Shasan Tihar 2026 Applications
The Commissioner reviewed applications received under Su-Shasan Tihar 2026 and directed officials to ensure prompt disposal of all pending cases. He also instructed that proposals requiring state-level approval be forwarded immediately to avoid delays in citizen services.

Priority Disposal of Complaints on Public Grievance Portals
Reviewing pending complaints on the Nidan-1100 and other grievance portals, the Commissioner emphasized that all issues must be resolved on a priority basis. He warned that negligence at any level would not be tolerated.


Revenue Collection Drive: 6% Rebate Till June 30
The Commissioner informed that citizens paying property tax by June 30 will receive a 6% rebate. He directed officials to intensify the revenue collection drive and ensure maximum citizens benefit from the scheme.

Monsoon Preparedness: Drain Cleaning on Priority
Special emphasis was laid on pre-monsoon preparedness. The Commissioner instructed timely cleaning of all drains and drainage channels to prevent waterlogging during the rainy season.

Drinking Water, Rainwater Harvesting and Inject Well Projects
The review meeting also covered drinking water supply, water conservation, rainwater harvesting, and inject well construction works. Officials were directed to complete all related projects by June 30 without fail.

Strict Implementation of Solid Waste Management Rules
Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Commissioner reviewed the implementation of Solid Waste Management Rules 2026. He directed the sanitation department to strictly enforce compliance and run public awareness campaigns.

Review of Key Government Schemes
Progress of several schemes including the PM Suryaghar Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, plantation drives, Chief Minister’s announcements, Mission Karmayogi portal, CM Helpline-1076, e-office system, and biometric attendance was reviewed. The Commissioner stressed achieving 100% targets across all schemes.

Directions for Major Development Projects
Proposals for several infrastructure projects such as Science College campus gate and ground development, crematorium upgradation, Siyan Sadan construction, Smriti Van beautification, Police Stadium upgradation, Bahatarai Stadium rest house, and underground electricity cabling were instructed to be prepared at the earliest.

Emphasis on Transparency and Coordination
In conclusion, Commissioner Prakash Kumar Sarve directed all officials to accelerate pending works and adopt transparent and efficient working procedures in line with government objectives. He reiterated that providing timely and improved civic services remains the top priority of the corporation.

All zonal commissioners, departmental heads, and engineers were present in the meeting.
