JCCJ 2.0 Launched from Bilaspur, Party Unveils ‘Save Sons Movement’ Ahead of Chhattisgarh Assembly Polls

Bilaspur, July 15, 2026 : The Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (JCCJ) has officially launched JCCJ 2.0, a revamped political campaign aimed at strengthening the party ahead of the upcoming Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. The initiative was unveiled at the Bilaspur Press Club in the presence of the party’s supreme leader Dr. Renu Jogi, national president Amit Jogi, state president Ishwar Upadhyay, and other senior leaders.
Addressing the media, Amit Jogi said the new campaign would be driven by a statewide “Save Sons Movement”, focusing on protecting young people from the growing menace of drug addiction.
He stressed that combating substance abuse is not solely the government’s responsibility but requires the collective participation of parents, teachers, doctors, social organizations, and the wider community.
Focus on Political Reforms
Amit Jogi said JCCJ would reconnect with the people through a renewed political vision and organisational structure. He also called for political reforms, claiming that the party had written to the presidents of around 66 recognised political parties listed by the Election Commission, proposing a boycott of upcoming elections as part of its reform agenda.
According to Jogi, efforts were made to bring opposition parties together on a common platform. However, after consensus could not be reached, JCCJ decided to emerge as an independent political alternative in Chhattisgarh.
Amit Jogi Responds on Jaggi Case
Responding to questions regarding the Jaggi case, Amit Jogi said he has complete faith in the judiciary and would continue to pursue his legal battle through due process.
He also stated that he is personally providing pro bono legal assistance to displaced families from several regions, including Nakti, Hasdeo, Lailunga, Bacheli, Keshda-Iklama (Kabirdham), Patharra (Bemetara), and Fasterpur (Mungeli).
Renu Jogi Shares Memories of Ajit Jogi
Dr. Renu Jogi recalled several personal memories of late former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, saying he had refused to accept dowry at the time of their marriage and remained committed to principles and social values throughout his life.
Amit Jogi described Bilaspur as an emotionally significant city for his family. He said both his parents spent their childhood in Bilaspur and that their love story began near the Company Garden, adjacent to the Bilaspur Press Club, making the city a place of deep personal importance.
Party Eyes Grassroots Expansion
JCCJ leaders said the party would focus on strengthening its organisation down to the booth level, activating workers across the state, and launching an extensive public outreach campaign ahead of the Assembly elections.
District President Prashant Tripathi concluded the press conference by thanking the media and expressing confidence that JCCJ 2.0 and the Save Sons Movement would evolve into a people-driven campaign across Chhattisgarh.
